just bought my MK4S and I have a complaint with this video. The stepper motor shown at 8:19 is not the first one the assembler should be working on at 9:22. In the absence of a narrator, there is no way to know the x-axis motor is the intended unit, as revealed at 10:13. I now have to go to the store to get new double-sided adhesive, as the one provided in the kit was brittle, but would have worked if the video flowed properly. Edit: The motor shown at 10:13 may actually be the incorrect one, as the motor installed in this rear position is supposed to be the y-axis motor. Therefore, the video still has an issue. Edit #2: I have since realized that the motor at 10:13 is corrected at 10:17, leading me to wonder why in the HE double hockey sticks 10:13 was left in

Man I wish I grew up with 3D printing. Image you are a kid and you want a toy car, and uncle Prusa just prints it for you. And you could also have it customised and modified, as your kid wants it. Next step would be having Open-Source designs to print for everyone and- (ok hasbro is gonna sue me :-(

When making toys for 0-3 year-olds, there are greater risks. *Things to consider when printing for toddlers* * Print in PETG, because of its low toxicity and reasonable mechanical and heat resistance. * No parts should be small enough to fit inside a cylinder with a diameter of 32 mm and a length of 57 mm. * The 3D print must be strong enough not to break into smaller parts. * Do not paint the 3D print, as paint can be toxic.

Bottom layers use so much filament. Why not put the hex pattern for the bottom? I suppose with slicer settings, the user could still do that.

I'd like to bring up an important point from an American perspective. I wish PRUSA had certifications to build and repair the 3D Printers. I know the products are all beta. But this is a technology where parents don't know how to do it and they recognize their children must learn. For example, my parents never had a computer but they knew I was going to need computer skills. This is the time to catch that first wave. If I was a PRUSA Certified Technician then my company can use that certification to sell service contracts to STEM and STEAM lab franchise owners. The owners don't want to repair the printers every time a student breaks them. The franchise owners want to make a call and a tech gets it working again. The owners can build the costs of the service contracts into the price of the course. Imagine being a parent and imagine walking into the STEM Lab where PRUSA XL is printing a 5 color dragon. The franchise owner just sold 3D Printing courses! The students don't necessarily need to be trained on that flagship model! What is a child going to be taught? How to print his/her name in block letters. How to print a circle. How to print a cube. How to print a star. The flagship display models and the hands on teaching models are two opposite ends of the quality spectrum. The kids can be instructed to work on 3D printers that are crude, nearly toy models. Also, if PRUSA developed those courses then it would be easier for the franchise owners to get the collection of courses approved by the governance of the franchise organization. If PRUSA offered Technician Certifications plus also offered STEM lab courses that can be adopted by franchises, then we would be in business here in America.

More stuff about kids would be good to convince my partner the printers are worth keeping. 😅

What comes to toy`s, i would be somehow careful what comest to printed toys for kids under 3 years old. At least the integrity and durability of the prints must be well evaluated.

It uses both steal springs and printed springs and you could not design it not using rubberbands that will dry up and make the hole thing stop working in a short time?

I try not to use every time 3MF when I possibly can. I HATE settings from others in my slicer. The .step format is the golden middle. Perfectly looking prints and no settings from a stranger

They only thing making me hesitate in buying the Mk4S kit is the fact that my Mk3S+ is still going very strong. I went with Prusa as I wanted something reliable and with good support. A brilliant investment

To be honest, I never did consider getting a Prusa printer. BUT now that this MK4S came out and I think most important thing for me is a perfect first layer and layerlines, this is it! After watching competitors boasting about speed but the final print quality isin´t there. If you think about it, yes it´s pretty expensive but it is made in EU, long lasting updates, support, quality...you name it. I´m tired of my secondhand modified Ender 3. I do customer works and I find myself fighting with my printer when I could be just printing perfect prints. If I could afford a new printer, it will be Prusa next. I´m impressed.
